are located in beautiful picturesque campuses at Pimpri, Nigdi Pradhikaran, and Tathawade and are
recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and approved by various regulatory authorities.
The main aim of the Unitech Society is to impart quality education with a quest for excellence, which is at par with international standards. To make it possible the curriculum is designed with professional adroitness to fulfill specific goals. Moreover, teams of dedicated and experienced faculty are constantly engaged in the augmentation of a student-centric learning environment through innovative pedagogy. They impart knowledge to the students that have been ingrained in the foundation of ethical and moral values and at the same time assist in boosting their leadership qualities, research culture, and innovative skills.
Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU)
In 2003, the Dr. D. Y. Patil Unitech Society added a feather to its cap by establishing D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU). It is the first state-of-art Private University, situated in the twin city of Pimpri-Chinchwad. Built on a sprawling campus spread over 50 acres, DPU has excellent state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities conducive to higher and professional teaching-learning environment, research and outreach programs.
Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU), Pimpri, Pune, is contributing to national development in the fields of education and health. It has developed quality initiatives and steps in all its systems and processes, leading to excellence in all its endeavors, befitting the status of a professional university. The Vidyapeeth is a model institution for providing high-quality academics and holistic education across Maharashtra and the country.
The Vidyapeeth offers a wide range of courses such as Medical, Dentistry, Biotechnology, Homeopathy, Management, Optometry, Physiotherapy, Ayurved, Nursing, Distance Learning, and Bioinformatics. All the institutions have the approval and recognition of the relevant statutory bodies to offer UG, PG Degrees, Diploma, Super-Specialty, Fellowship, Certificate, and Ph.D. programs in relevant and emerging disciplines.
The Vidyapeeth has come a long way since its inception. It has been recognized by the Government of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a "Deemed to be University”. These various institutions under DPU are providing quality education to about 4500+ students. What distinguishes Vidyapeeth among others are its state-of-the-art infrastructure and dedicated faculty. All the programs offered in these Institutes are duly recognized by respective Councils such as MCI/DCI/INC/CCIM/CCH/AICTE/UGC, etc.
In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2022, a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, the Vidyapeeth has achieved the 76th position in the overall category, 41 in the University category, 17 in the Medical category, and 3rd in the Dental category.
The Vidyapeeth is also an ISO 9001: 2015 Certified University. The Vidyapeeth has been re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) of 3.64 on a four-point scale at an ‘A++’ grade. All the technical programs are also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Objectives
The principal objectives of the Vidyapeeth are to:

- Raise academic standards in the constituent units of the Vidyapeeth.

- Carry out instructions and training, distinguishable from programmes of ordinary nature, for making distinctive contributions in the areas of specializations.

Pune is the ninth largest metropolis in India and the second largest in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai. It is situated at the height of 575 meters above
sea level, on the Deccan plateau at the confluence of Mula and Mutha rivers. Originally called Punawadi, it is known to have existed as a town since 847 AD.
